The TallyRun app keeps your business records on your phone. The app runs no servers and does not collect, transmit, or sell your data — everything you enter in the app stays on your device. The only details we ever receive are those you choose to send us through our website, such as a waitlist signup or a feedback message (see Website forms below).
Your stock items, sales, cash balance, item photos, and settings (your name, business name, location, and currency) are saved locally in the app. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Your data is encrypted at rest using AES-256. The encryption key is held in your device's secure hardware keystore (the iOS Keychain) and never leaves the device. You can additionally require Face ID or Touch ID to open the app.
Camera and Photos — only to attach a picture to a stock item, when you tap "Add photo".
Face ID / Touch ID — only to unlock the app, if you choose to enable it.
Notifications — only to send the daily summary you opt into.
Each permission is optional and is used solely for the purpose described above.
We do not share your data with anyone. When you export a CSV file, you choose where it goes through your device's system share sheet — that action is entirely under your control.
If you join our waitlist or send feedback on tallyrun.app, the email address and any message you submit are sent to us through our forms provider (Web3Forms) so we can reply or let you know about TallyRun. We use these details only for that purpose, never sell them, and you can ask us to delete them at any time by emailing support@tallyrun.app. This is separate from the app, which still stores everything on your device.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple manages your subscription and any free-trial eligibility under your Apple ID.
You can erase everything at any time from You › Erase all data inside the app. Deleting the app from your device also removes all stored data permanently.
TallyRun is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the copy inside the app.
